RAN 16th Minesweeping Squadron: Formed with the purchase of six Ton class minesweepers from the Royal Navy in 1962. The Squadron was deployed to Singapore May 1964, as part of Australia’s commitment to the Indonesia-Malaysia confrontation.
This is 1/6th representations of the squadron’s badge. This Australian made, 3D rendered, custom-crafted product, which is hand-painted using marine enamels and complies with the Royal Australian Navy colour specification. The badge is cast using a two-pack polyurethane media and is extremely durable.
It is most often mounted on a Navy Board (Std) or Navy Board – (3 point shield) shaped timber board, stained in rich walnut with a high gloss finish. There is a keyway routed into the back of the board for wall/bulkhead mounting.
Variations in mounting can be arranged by emailing us direct.
Please note: If you select the “Badge Only” option, the choice of wood stain and finish is irrelevant.
