Did you notice that HMAS Darwin departed Fleet Base East yesterday (30 December 2015) to take up her role in Operation MANITOU.

The eve of New Year’s Eve!  This reminds me that in spite of a New Year with new opportunities, there is very little new under the sun.  It was with this in mind that I saw this comic posted by Brian James to HMAS Melbourne II – the Aussie Aircraft Carrier R-21 Facebook page.  I think it sums up a sailor’s lot very well.
